History Of Ushago Homestead
Ushago Homestead was first built in 2006, as a fun farm, known as “The “Ushago’ Children’s FUNFarm". These were three mud huts, which had been created as an outside learning enrichment program that provided sustainable living and environmental friendly projects for children.
Building of Ushago Homestead
When the Ushago homestead project began, many were surprised and some embarrassed by the fact that there was a ‘mud house’ - in their vicinity - Karen, surrounded by humongous houses built of stone! There were however a few people who appreciated the concept of the 'earthy back to roots' natural living lifestyle.
Ushago Homestead has been gaining a lot of interest and popularity amongst local visitors. We continue to have Schools, Church and Community groups, Campers and a wide range of individuals coming to enjoy Ushago homestead activities.
